2023 Goodliff and Genealogy Awards
This year we had an unprecedented number of applicants and we are very pleased to announce that the following were successful in being selected for a Goodliff Award:
Michael Addis – for supplementary materials for presentations and workshops for children on ‘The Victorian Entomoligist’.
Roger Merritt on behalf of Charles Hicks Patients’ Forum, for research and publication of a booklet about the history of the practice in Godmanchester and Huntingdon.
The Cromwell Museum, for redesigning and reprinting the pamphlet accompanying the Cromwell Trail in Huntingdon town centre.
The Friends of St Mary’s Church, Godmanchester, for stands for historical displays in the church.
The Godmanchester Museum, for additional display equipment and new displays on the railway station and an ice house.
Graham James, to fund transcription of and for demographic research into the 1921 Census for Great Paxton. (Project of genealogical interest)
Roger Leivers, to produce a bound copy of ‘The Godmanchester Bugle’ being extracts from The Hunts Post relating to Godmanchester for 1914 – 18.
Susan Mortlock Rajasinghe, for publication of a booklet about Rose Allen of Godmanchester (Project of genealogical interest)
Huntingdon BID, to update the Town History Trail and make it available digitally through QR codes.
Ramsey Rural Museum, for display boards on the history of Darlow’s Farm cottage at the Museum.
Ramsey Rural Museum, for rubbing plaques for young children visiting the Museum.
